OK, Its all very odd, but I have a solution. Unfortunately I don't know WHY it works!

The only thing visible in the mail box are the Navigation pane and one Action button - Tools. The only option available here is Help.

I tried opening Help and it asked me to authenticate. Once into Help I then used the Browser's Back button and hey presto! all is now well!!

If anyone knows what has been going on I'd love to know!
